A Colorful Breakthrough

When I first began making art I often replicated and did more realistic images. I still practice aspects of realism in my artwork but I have also embraced using abstraction and other forms of art as well.

This piece was made by "destroying" a painting and combining it with another art piece. The painting that was "destroyed' was used by making precise and thoughtful brush strokes on the canvas and the other painting was created by flinging paint and using my fingers. The combination of the two is supposed to represent the balance between different art styles.
